Leave a Nest Capital invests in BIOTA Inc., a Company That Designs Cities Using Microbiomes

Leave A Nest group, through Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. has invested in BIOTA Inc. (Head office: Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Mr. Kohei Ito; hereinafter “BIOTA”), a company that conducts research on microbiomes in urban environments and develops environmental improvement devices.

BIOTA commenced operations in October 2020 and has been engaged in research, development, and product creation in the field of microbiomes using bioinformatics. The company aims to improve public health by designing microbial diversity and balance in urban and indoor environments, not only to prevent the spread of infectious diseases but also to enhance human health in daily life.

In September 2021, Biota was selected as a finalist and received a corporate award at the ‘Biotech Grand Prix 2021’ (held on September 25, 2021). This event was part of ‘Tech Planter‘, a real-tech venture ecosystem hosted by Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. that promotes the social implementation of science and technology  originating from universities and companies.
